Perfect

This morning.

“I like it.” And, “I’m painting.” Later she even said, “perfect,” after bending every which way, and up close to her easel, as if she was painting a masterpiece!

And then she drew me. “Eye, eye, nose…” I am pink with rosy cheeks and brown hair. I would say it’s perfect for Mother’s Day. A portrait of myself by Jemma.

For the short time that both girls were asleep, I couldn’t help but want to try Jemma’s watercolors, so I did a quick little painting of the dying flowers on the table, before I had my own lunch. You would think I had better things to do than paint with a kids paintbrush and some watercolors- but it actually felt so good!
